What is Sandblasting?
Sandblasting — also known as abrasive blasting — is a process that uses compressed air to propel fine abrasive particles at high speed against a surface. This creates a deep, frosted, or textured etching that laser engraving simply cannot achieve.
At The Laser Shop we use sandblasting to create dramatic, tactile engravings with real depth and dimension. It’s perfect for awards, memorials, signage, and decorative pieces where you want something that truly stands out and can be felt with your fingertips.
We use precise masking and stenciling to protect areas that should remain untouched, allowing us to create detailed artwork, logos, text, and imagery with clean, sharp edges.

What Can We Sandblast?
Glass
Wine glasses, bottles, mirrors, awards, and decorative glass. Sandblasting creates a beautiful frosted effect with real depth that catches the light perfectly.
Stone and Granite
Memorial stones, grave markers, decorative stone, bricks, and pavers. Deep sandblasted engravings in stone last forever and weather beautifully outdoors.
Metal
Metal signs, plaques, and awards. Sandblasting creates a matte, textured surface on metals that provides excellent contrast and a premium industrial feel.
Wood
Signs, plaques, and decorative wood pieces. Sandblasting creates a dramatic raised grain effect on wood — the soft grain blasts away leaving the harder grain standing proud.
Awards and Trophies
Crystal, acrylic, and glass awards with deep sandblasted logos and text. Perfect for corporate recognition, sports trophies, and special achievement awards.
Memorials
Grave markers, memorial stones, and tribute pieces for people and pets. Deep sandblasted engravings that will last generations and stand up to outdoor conditions.
